What is a Journey?
A journey session is more than the hours you spend with the medicine. It’s a process that includes skilled preparation with your facilitator and deep internal exploration with the aid of the mushroom. We start by getting to know each other and setting your intentions, so you walk in feeling fully prepared for the extraordinary experiences that mushrooms can support. The session itself happens in a quiet, comfortable setting where your only job is to let the experience unfold. Afterward, we will use integration sessions to sit with what came up and help to solidify the insights from your experience, because the meaning of a journey (and transformative life impact) usually takes shape in the days and weeks that follow.
About the Facilitator
I’m Robert Strohmeyer, a licensed psilocybin facilitator based in Portland, Oregon. I hold a Master’s in transpersonal psychology and am currently a PhD candidate conducting original research in the emerging field of psychedelic science.
As a facilitator, my role is to help you prepare for your journey experience, hold a safe and supportive container for you throughout the journey session, and assist you in the days that follow as you do the work of integrating your insights. I won’t direct your experience or tell you what it means. I’m there to keep you safe, and to help you carry something useful back into ordinary life.
